The Biltmores of New York City have become the latest luxury estate to go through a major renovation and sale, as the family has purchased the property for $8 million in 2017.

The listing comes just weeks after Biltmor’s owner purchased the former home of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright for $9.3 million.

The property is now called the Biltmill Estate, and it was formerly known as the Biltsmores Estate.

The Biltsmore Estate, located at 645 New York Avenue, was built in 1874 and sits on a lot that is currently being redeveloped for residential, commercial and entertainment uses.

The estate, which has a total of 2,500 units, is one of New England’s most expensive properties, with an estimated price tag of $6 million to $7 million.

It has been the site of numerous famous events, including the premiere of the movie “The Lion King” in 2006.
